I just started experimenting playing ambient guitar!
I'm using some nice pedals, mostly from @tcelectronic
Big thanks to @chordsoforion for introducing me to the world of ambient guitar with his videos, I still have so much to learn...
I was just messing around with some distortion and reverbs, and got some Blade-runneresque's wastelands sounds
Sound chain:
- Aria Pro II "The Cat Series" (Super Stratocaster made in Japan by Matsumoku in 1987)
- Morley "Little Alligator" (Volume Pedal)
- TC Electronic "Fangs" (Metal Distortion)
- TC Electronic "The Prophet" (Digital Delay)
- TC Electronic "Fluorescence" (Shimmer Reverb)
- TC Electronic "Hall of Fame 2" (Reverb)
- Ashdown Perfect Ten 60 (Bass Amplifier)
- Soundcraft "Spirit Folio Si" (Mixer)
- Audacity

Jamming in my garage. It's an unlikely place that has a muffled sound-presence, just stepping outside (still underground) grants an "hall-like" reverb.
I sampled some sounds using my car and random stuff.
I guess this is also qualifies for the "shitty gear" challenge since I used a software-synth that I programmed on my own using Unity for the melody and it's a bit wonky 😅
I should probably invest in a small midi keyboard or pad, using the laptop keyboard is not really cutting it...
This kind of challenges are awesome! Keep it up @truecuckoo ! 🎹

Ingredients:
- My own synth (written in C# for Unity)
- Fujifilm X70 to record audio and video
- Audacity to record, mix and remove background noise from the audio track
- DaVinci Resolve to sync the videos to the audio track
- my garage (outside/inside)
- a trip to the supermarket
Melody on a QWERTY keyboard:
"EGUP EGUP SFUL SFJL AEGK AEGK SFGJ SFGL", "LKJG", "EGUP EGUP SFUL SFJL AEGK AEGK SFGJ SFGL"
(the "A" is like a C/Do on a piano keyboard)
